  • Evans School Ranks 4th in Faculty Scholarship in Public Administration

    In the latest report from Academic Analytics, the Evans School at the University of Washington was ranked fourth for faculty scholarly productivity in public administration. Only Princeton, NYU, and Cornell out ranked the school in this study.  The UW Evans School outranked a number of other nationally-recognized programs including Syracuse, University of Georgia, and Indiana University.

  • Alumna Devin Hibbard Featured in New York Times Column

    Nicholas D. Kristof profiled BeadforLife, a nonprofit started by Devin Hibbard (MPA '03) and her mother, Torkin Wakefield, in his New York Times column on March 13.  BeadforLife works to eradicate extreme poverty by promoting and supporting the entrepreneurship of bead makers in Uganda.

  • MPA Student Kevin Mock Travels to White House with Local Youth

    Evans School student Kevin Mock accompanied eight youth from Youngstown Records to the invitation-only White House concert "A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement" on February 9. Youngstown Records is a collaborative after-school program of Arts Corps' MusicianCorps Program and the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center. The concert will air in Seattle on February 11 at 9 p.m. on KCTS9.

  • Evans School Alumnus Travels to Haiti

    David Eller (Executive MPA ‘07), president of World Concern, is traveling to Haiti to to assist staff on the ground providing food and supplies to earthquake surviors. Eller was interviewed by KOMO TV at Sea-Tac Airport on February 4 as he left for Haiti.
