Efrain responds:
There is a skills workshop called The Olympia Legislative Process taught by Professor David Harrison. During this workshop, we learned about the passage of legislation and had a field trip to Olympia to talk to policy makers and former Evans School students working for the State of Washington.
The Evans School is not necessarily focused in Washington state. The management courses give you general tools that you can use to pass legislation in any setting. If you are really interested in legislation, you can also take courses at the law school that might be more focused on the technicalities of legislative work.

Efrain Gutierrez is a second year Master of Public Administration (MPA) student at the Evans School with interests in global governance, international development, Latino communities in the U.S., and gender policy. Efrain received his MPA from the Evans School in June, 2010. More about Efrain
