Karissa asks:

How can a person with no background in economics prepare for their first microeconomics course? Will the basics be reviewed?

Alan responds:

You might want to consider taking an intro to Microeconomics course. The Evans School also offers an econ prep course during the summer which many students elect to take.

Some students take the Microecon core course with no prep at all and while many experience success, some also do not. Depending on how you feel, it may be best to play it safe.
