Degree Project Options

Evans School students have four options for how they select a degree project topic and complete the degree project requirement:

  1. Propose a topic independent of an agency to work on as an independent degree project or in a seminar by emailing an appropriate faculty with a description of your project. Once you have a faculty sponsor, complete the Degree Project Proposal form and submit it to Student Services.
  2. Propose a topic that you have developed with an agency to work on as an independent degree project or in a seminar. Once you have a faculty sponsor, complete the Degree Project Proposal form and submit it to Student Services.
  3. Propose a topic that you have developed with an agency and would like to further develop through the Public Service Clinics by submitting the Public Service Clinics' Self-Proposed Student Topic Form.  The agency will be required to pay a fee to participate in the Public Service Clinics.
  4. Select a topic to work on with an agency in a Clinic or Seminar by browsing available topics and applying for your top three choices

In the first two options, you will work with your faculty sponsor to develop specific responsibilities and deadlines.  For the last two options, there are a number of client-related responsibilities from proposal to presentation.
