Robin Groth (Executive MPA ‘08) served as a field director/producer for a new 13-part series for ABC called Homeland Security USA that will debut in early January. The reality series gives viewers a unique inside view of the daily work of agencies within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Coast Guard. The premiere episode, "This is Your Car on Drugs," will air at 8 p.m. on January 6, showing viewers the internal workings of some of the busiest international entry points into the United States.
Groth served as a team leader for one of the five crews shooting for four months on location at places including JFK International Airport in New York City, the coast of Honolulu, and border patrols in Washington state, Michigan, New York, California, and Florida.
