Steven Rathgeb Smith Receives $100,000 Grant

Steven Rathgeb Smith is the principal investigator on a $100,000 grant from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, for a research project titled "Seattle Comprehensive Nonprofit Survey Project" that will be done in conjunction with a Jackson School project titled "A Comparative Empirical Study on the Three-Level Civil Society Structure and Governance in Japan, South Korea, the United State, Germany, and China." The aim of the projects is to understand through international comparison various issues concerning Japan's governance.
