Evans School Senior Lecturer David S. Harrison received a Lifetime Achievement Award for Workforce and Economic Development Best Practices at the 2009 Workforce and Economic Development Conference in Spokane, Washington.
Announcing the 2009 Best Practice Award winners, Washington State Governor Chris Gregoire said that David "has been a tireless advocate for educational and employment pathways that help all of Washington's citizens move ahead and into family-wage jobs."
The Workforce and Economic Development Best Practice Awards, given by the Washington State Workforce Board Training and Education Coordinating Board, recognizes individuals and projects for "creating jobs, building a skilled workforce and enhancing the economy in communities around the state." The awards were bestowed by the governor at the conference in Spokane on October 29.
