  • Visiting Committee Member Promoted at Marine Stewarship Council

    Kerry Coughlin, a member of the Evans School's Visiting Committee, was named Regional Director for the Americas for the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), an international nonprofit organization set up to promote solutions to the problem of overfishing.  She previously served as their Communications Director, Americas for MSC.  Read MSC's press release

  • Alumni in the Workplace: U.S. Agency for International Development

    Six Evans School alumni work at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and four were able to take time from their busy schedules to respond to questions about their work and reflect on their time at the Evans School. Hear about working at USAID from Aaron Stern (MPA ‘95), Heather D’Agnes (MPA ’05), Roopa Karia (MPA ’02), and Andrea Sternberg (MPA ‘07).

  • Regional Transportation Funding Study Released

    Evans School faculty and students have completed a study of the prospects for the finance of transportation systems in the Central Puget Sound Region. The report covers King, Snohomish, Pierce and Kitsap counties in the forthcoming fourteen year period (2009 to 2023). The study demonstrates clearly the challenges to financing transportation systems, especially in face of increasing transportation demand grounded in the region’s expected population and job growth.

  • Incoming MPA Students Play Budgetball

    First year Master of Public Administration (MPA) students at the Evans School combined budgeting skills with team sports in a Budgetball tournament as part of orientation. Budgetball, a sport that combines fiscal responsibility with physical agility, was designed by the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA).
