MPA Student Kevin Mock Travels to White House with Local Youth

Youngstown Records

Evans School student Kevin Mock accompanied eight youth from Youngstown Records to the invitation-only White House concert "A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement" on February 9. Youngstown Records is a collaborative after-school program of Arts Corps' MusicianCorps Program and the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center. The concert will air in Seattle on Thursday, February 11 at 9 p.m. on KCTS9 and at various times on PBS stations around the country.

Youth from this program have also recently curated an exhibit at the Frye Art Museum, I Wish I Knew Who I Was Before I Was Me, which will be on display through May 31.

Mock's work with Youngstown Records began with a summer internship and is now part of his Evans School Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree project.
