The Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits & Philanthropy conducts and supports theoretical and applied research of local, national, and international importance to nonprofit and philanthropic scholars, policy-makers, and practitioners. Our efforts focus primarily on research that examines the changing service and policy roles of nonprofit and philanthropic institutions.
- NEW: Resilient Nonprofits: How Western Washington Nonprofits Have Been Coping with the Impact of the Economic Downturn is a report summarizing recent interviews of nonprofit executive directors and program managers throughout the region, conducted by Evans School graduate students.

- Nonprofit Accountability Clubs seeks to better understand the phenomenon of voluntary regulation programs among nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
- Rethinking Advocacy Organizations outlines a new agenda for the study of advocacy organizations, broadly construed as nongovernmental organizations and social movement organizations.
