The Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits & Philanthropy conducts and supports theoretical and applied research of local, national, and international importance to nonprofit and philanthropic scholars, policy-makers, and practitioners. Our efforts focus primarily on research that examines the changing service and policy roles of nonprofit and philanthropic institutions.

  • Nonprofits in Washington is a series of reports on the scope and character of nonprofit organizations in Washington state.
  • Nonprofit Accountability Clubs seeks to better understand the phenomenon of voluntary regulation programs among nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
  • Rethinking Advocacy Organizations outlines a new agenda for the study of advocacy organizations, broadly construed as nongovernmental organizations and social movement organizations.
  • Reports and Publications produced by faculty, staff, and students affiliated with the Nancy Bell Evans Center are a rich resource of information about current topics and trends happening in nonprofits and philanthropy.
