[INCLUDE EVANS SCHOOL HEADER OR LETTERHEAD]
"Student X", student at the Evans School of Public Affairs, will be working with "Agency Contact X", Systems Integration Manager at Sound Transit, on a project studying the results to date of Sound Transit's far integration program. The project will last from January through May of 2011, and culminate in a paper, a portion of which will focus on ridership and financial analysis and be appropriate for sharing with the Sound Transit Board and Sound Transit's partnering agencies.
The over-arching question of this project is: Has the fare integration program, including the PugetPass initiative, been a success in its first 3.5 months? The project will attempt to answer this from the community's perspective, and also from the 5 partnering transit agencies' perspectives. Specifically, the project will address affects on ridership and financial equity among the partners. In conclusion, the project will address potential improvements which the agencies might make to the fare integration program and/or the PugetPass for greater success.
In participating in the Public Service Clinics, Sound Transit agrees to pay a fee of $______. The first half of the fee will be invoiced in January 2011, with the second half due upon receipt of a satisfactory product.
